The JP MJ 008 corrects what a homologation map costs the Panigale 1199 at part throttle, which is where almost all road riding actually takes place.

Two Enormous Throttle Bodies
The Superquadro breathes through sixty-seven millimetre bodies, which is a lot of area for two cylinders. At small openings that makes metering a genuinely difficult problem.
Why the Factory Map Is Cautious
A manufacturer maps one motorcycle for every market, every fuel quality and every altitude it will ever be sold into, then adds a margin for emissions testing. That margin is not a mistake. It is simply not tuned for one bike, one climate and one exhaust system.
Not a Racing Part
There is no adjustment, no logging and no way to tailor the curve to one circuit. Riders who want that need the programmable unit, and JetPrime sells one alongside this.
Consumption in Practice
Some owners report a fraction more, some a fraction less. The honest answer is that the difference is inside the noise of how anybody actually rides, and no claim should be made about it.
Somewhere Dry and Secure
Under the seat on most bikes, occasionally under the tank. It needs to be where water does not sit and where the harness is not under tension when the suspension moves.
The Mechanism, Once More
An injector is a valve that opens for a measured time. Fuel quantity is that time. A module intercepts the instruction and lengthens or shortens it, and everything else about the motorcycle carries on unchanged.
Riding Modes Still Work
On a ride-by-wire machine the rain and sport settings continue to shape the throttle exactly as before. The module operates downstream of all of that and cannot see which mode is selected.
The Rev Limiter
Untouched, because it belongs to the standard controller. Nobody should fit this expecting the engine to rev further than the factory allowed.
