DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ducati took the rear brake of the Hypermotard 950 seriously enough to build an ABS setting around it, one that allows the rear wheel to slide under braking into a corner, a nod to supermoto racing. Most owners never ride that way, but the point stands: on this bike the pedal is a real control, not an afterthought. Controls that matter deserve a quick look before every ride. For the rear reservoir of the Hypermotard 950 of 2019, Accossato offers the TS012, a cap milled from aluminium and anodised in seven colours.
Key Features
- Cap for the rear brake fluid reservoir of the Ducati Hypermotard 950, 2019
- Replaces the cap of the original rear reservoir
- Aluminium, machined on CNC equipment and anodised
- Seven colours: gold, silver, black, red, orange, blue, green
- Matches Accossato's FP004 oil cap and FP007 clutch cover for the same bike
- Check fitment on Accossato's application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The TS012 is machined from aluminium on CNC equipment and then anodised, the step that also gives it colour: gold, silver, black, red, orange, blue or green. Accossato shapes the cap for the original rear reservoir of each bike on its list, so on the Hypermotard 950 the pedal, the master cylinder and the lines remain exactly as they left the factory. Take a moment over the rubber part beneath the old cap when you change it; if it has turned hard or split, a new one is the sensible choice.
Two Minutes Before Every Ride
A proper pre-ride check takes less time than putting on a helmet. Walk round the Hypermotard 950, look at both tyres for cuts and obvious loss of pressure, squeeze the front lever, press the rear pedal and check that both feel firm, then switch on the lights and try the indicators. Finally, find the rear reservoir and look at it: the fluid should sit between the marks and should not look dark. Once a month, or before a longer trip, add the slower checks, above all the date of the last fluid change, which you compare with the interval in the owner's manual; a new cap is never a reason to skip that service. When the TS012 goes on, cover the paint and bodywork near the reservoir with a cloth, open it only briefly because brake fluid pulls in moisture, and rinse any drop off with water at once. Tighten the cap with feeling rather than force. Pump the pedal a few times with the bike stationary before the first ride, and the short routine is complete.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the TS012 as the cap for the original rear reservoir of the Hypermotard 950 of 2019. In our catalogue the same part also appears for the Hypermotard 939, the Hyperstrada 939 and the Desert X. Together with the FP004 for the oil filler and the FP007 for the clutch reservoir, the Hypermotard 950 can wear three Accossato caps, and six colours are shared by all of them. Confirm your bike on the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
For the TS012 we hold neither an ABE nor any other test certificate, so it is listed for racing and competition purposes.
