DescriptionThe whole story▼
The CY044 is the smallest-bore cylinder in Accossato's painted range, built around a 16 mm piston for single-disc front brakes and a 16 mm pivot, the softest geometry Accossato offers: it needs less hand force at the lever but makes the stroke longer than the firmer 18 or 20 mm settings used elsewhere. This listing is finished in black paint, with a black Revolution lever fitted.
Key Features
- 16 mm piston diameter for single-disc front brake systems
- 16 mm lever pivot, the softest setting, with a longer stroke
- Revolution lever in black, length adjustable by adding or removing inserts
- Forged and painted body in black
- CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
- Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals in Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
This body is forged aluminium, CNC-machined to its 16 mm bore and then painted black, with stainless steel mounting screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals fitted afterwards, the same specification used across Accossato's painted range regardless of piston size. An offset riser resists the body flexing under hard use, and the bore is shaped so the lever's passive travel is reduced by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.
The Softest Pivot in the Range
Setting the pivot at 16 mm, rather than the 18 or 20 mm used on Accossato's larger-bore cylinders, lets the rider apply less force at the lever for a given braking result, at the cost of a longer stroke before that force arrives. This suits single-disc machines where outright lever feel matters less than light, easy modulation. The black Revolution lever's own reach can still be adjusted separately, using inserts. Unlike the folding or fixed levers on Accossato's CY027 and CY028, the Revolution lever here needs no separate long or short part number to change its reach.
Fitment and Compatibility
54 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY044, the same adventure and roadster list as Accossato's other single-disc cylinders, including the BMW F800GS, Kawasaki Versys 650, Suzuki V-Strom 650, Honda CB1100 and BMW R1200GS; the Fitment tab has the complete list with model years. This 16x16 cylinder with the Revolution lever is also sold with blue, green and red painted bodies. Workshops already stocking Accossato's single-disc range can service this cylinder with the same stainless screws, bleed valve and seals used on the CY027 and CY028.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato 16x16 radial brake master cylinder with the black Revolution lever, in the black painted body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included.
