Static seals and dynamic seals are not interchangeable even in the same size.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 05112-01

Original Öhlins service part

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Nitrile, Viton and PTFE behave differently with temperature, and Öhlins picks per position. A seal that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep. Seal kits gather the pieces one rebuild needs, which avoids a second order mid-job.

Genuine Service Part

Suspension is one of the few areas where the original part is genuinely the cheaper decision. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 05112-01. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. The groove does half the work: the ring only seals if the groove is clean and undamaged. Seals harden with heat and age even when the machine has not been ridden much.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 05112-01

Category: O-Rings

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/05112-01_5eb8b903-dbf5-4049-82cf-f87c590ef98f.png?v=1788873831
