Rates are offered in steps so a change can be made in one direction at a time. Öhlins publishes sag targets, and those are the reference for choosing a rate. A settled spring lowers the machine and steepens the steering without anyone changing a setting.

Genuine Service Part

Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. For a full rebuild, the seal kit plus the wear parts is usually the sensible order. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand.

How to Be Sure It Fits

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 15839-02. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Springs are a service part: they age, they settle, and replacing them restores the geometry. Öhlins measures each spring after setting rather than relying on the winding specification.

Fitting and Setup Service

Fitting service parts means opening a pressurised unit. As an authorised Öhlins service centre we do that here, with the right tools and a dyno check afterwards — just ask.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15839-02

Category: Springs

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15839-02_ac2f9d3b-356d-4e0a-a873-ac5eae5a1e2f.png?v=1788879114
