The fork bottom carries the axle and takes the braking load into the fork.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15202-16

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Öhlins machines the axle clamp so it grips without pulling the fork out of alignment. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping. Left and right are different parts on almost every fork.

Why the Original

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. The exploded drawing for your unit names the number; if you do not have it, we do.

How to Be Sure It Fits

The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 15202-16 in this case. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Fork parts are specific to the fork, not to the motorcycle it happens to be fitted to.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15202-16

Category: Fork Bottoms

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15202-16_e7e015f7-56f6-494b-8b45-81acc740ae46.png?v=1788878586
