DescriptionThe whole story▼
The AGPA97ZXC brings Accossato's ceramic racing material to the front of the Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage from 2015 to 2017. The ZXC ceramic racing compound is meant for a bike that has left the road behind and now lives on a trailer between circuits, and for the owner or mechanic who likes to have more than one pad option in the garage. Different circuits and conditions can call for different friction materials, and ZXC is one of the choices Accossato makes available on this shape.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage, 2015 to 2017
- Article AGPA97ZXC in the ZXC ceramic racing compound
- Accossato calls ZXC a ceramic compound ideal for racing
- For track bikes, race setup and pit changes
- Two pads per box, the set for one front caliper
- The Moto Cage needs two boxes for both front calipers
- Same shape available as OR, ST, EV1 and EV2
- Sold for track and competition; no German ABE available
Construction and Material Quality
ZXC is the ceramic option in Accossato's range, and the company describes it as ideal for racing. It sits next to EV2 at the competition end of the lineup and gives teams an alternative material with a different character. It uses the AGPA97 backing plate, so there is nothing new to learn when fitting it to the Moto Cage. Accossato's broad design aims apply here too: limited heat, reduced fade and strong stopping power.
Pads as Part of the Setup
For a racing Moto Cage, brake pads become a setup variable just like tyre choice or gearing. A rider may start a weekend on one compound, try another in the second session and compare lap times and feel. A ceramic compound such as ZXC can change the way the bike stops at the end of a long straight and how it enters slow corners, so it is worth testing properly rather than changing at the last moment. Record which set is in which caliper, how many laps it has done and any change in lever feel. Keep the pit area organised: pads in labelled bags, spares ready, and a torque wrench to hand for the caliper bolts.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato fits the AGPA97 to the front of the Yamaha MT-07 Moto Cage for 2015 to 2017, and the AGPP88 to its rear caliper. With two front calipers, a complete change requires two boxes, and both sides should always be done together. Clean the pistons, inspect the discs, and use fresh fluid. No Accossato discs are listed for the Moto Cage. Bed the ceramic pads in on the first outing before full effort.
Road Approval
This ceramic pad has no German ABE and no approval mark in our documents. The AGPA97ZXC is therefore offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two Accossato AGPA97 pads in ZXC ceramic racing compound, the set for one front caliper of the Moto Cage.
