DescriptionThe whole story▼

Sports touring means distance, and the Triumph Tiger Sport 800 introduced for 2025 is built for it: a comfortable road chassis, a triple engine and room for luggage. For owners who use it that way, in all weathers and often with a passenger, Accossato lists rear pad AGPP91 in the Sintered (ST) compound. It is designed to hold a high, even grip from cold to hot and to keep biting when the disc is wet, so the rear pedal stays predictable on long, varied days.

Key Features

  • AGPP91 rear pad, Sintered (ST) compound
  • For the Triumph Tiger Sport 800, 2025
  • Accossato: high grip that stays even across temperatures; strong wet grip
  • Designed for sports touring and two-up riding
  • Predictable pedal on long days
  • Two pads for the rear caliper
  • Also available as OR and STMX

Construction and Material Quality

What sets ST apart, in the maker's telling, is steadiness. Its grip is pitched high and, crucially, hardly shifts as the pad goes from a chilly garage start to the heat of a long downhill run; rain on the rotor does not blunt it either. On a sports tourer whose days can stretch from dawn to dusk, that sameness is the whole point. The Turin-area firm rounds this off with the claims it makes for every pad it sells: they wear slowly, shrug off fade because heat stays moderate, and stop hard.

Distance in Changing Weather

Imagine the new Sport 800 on its first proper tour: a quick blast along open A-roads before breakfast, a sequence of Alpine switchbacks by midday, then a grey afternoon of spray on the autobahn home. Two people and three bags sit on the bike the whole time. The rear pad is asked to trim speed ahead of every hairpin, to hold the Triumph calm on the descents and to keep a clean, repeatable feel with a film of water on the disc. Those are the conditions ST was developed around. For the lighter job of solo commuting, OR gives a softer pedal and spares the rotor.

Fitment and Compatibility

The Accossato entry for AGPP91 names the 2025 Tiger Sport 800, rear caliper only; for the front of this bike our data carries neither a pad nor a disc from Accossato. As a pre-tour routine, measure what friction material is left, look for a lip at the edge of the disc, confirm the fluid sits between its marks, and after any ride on gritted winter roads give the caliper a rinse.

Road Approval

No German ABE or test documentation for this pad is in our records. It is offered for competition use.
