DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a loaded Suzuki DL250 V-Strom crossing mountains in the rain, the rear brake does more than people expect. It steadies the bike before bends, helps on long descents and takes some load off the single front disc. Accossato lists rear pad AGPP88 for the DL250 V-Strom from 2017 to 2023, and the Sintered mixture is designed for high, constant grip in wet weather and at any temperature.
Key Features
- Rear pad AGPP88 for Suzuki DL250 V-Strom, 2017 to 2023
- Sintered mixture, article number AGPP88ST
- Accossato: high, constant grip hot or cold
- Good bite on a wet disc
- Stable pedal with luggage
- Suited to touring and all-season riding
- Also offered as OR
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato states that the Sintered compound keeps a high and steady grip whatever the temperature, and grips well in the wet. On a small, loaded tourer, the rear brake plays a bigger role than on a solo commute, and a compound that stays consistent in rain and on long descents is a sound choice. Low wear, reduced fade and strong stopping complete the description.
Loaded and Wet
With panniers and a tent strapped on, the DL250 V-Strom carries more weight at the back. Using the rear brake early on descents helps keep the bike balanced and spares the front brake for the corners.
In rain, the rear disc sits right in the spray of the rear tyre. A sintered pad that bites quickly on a wet surface keeps the pedal predictable.
On a long trip, check the rear pads every few days. Carrying extra weight wears them faster than solo riding, and a spare set takes up little space.
Camping trips add another habit: park the bike on firm ground overnight and look at the brakes in the morning light before loading up. Wet grass and mud around a campsite can leave dirt on the disc, and the first few stops of the day will clean it off if you brake gently at first.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato gives AGPP88 for the rear of the Suzuki DL250 V-Strom from 2017 to 2023, with AGPA72 at the front. Fit the pair together, clean the piston first and check the rear reservoir level after the job.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German test papers for this pad. It is intended for competition use.
Scope of Delivery
