DescriptionThe whole story▼

An MT-125 used as year-round transport, to college in February and to a summer job in August, needs a front brake that behaves the same in every season. Accossato's AGPA101ST is the front pad for the Yamaha MT-125 from 2014 to 2026 in the Sintered (ST) compound. According to the manufacturer, it keeps a high, constant grip level in cold and heat and grips well on a wet disc, which suits a rider who has no car and relies on the bike every day.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Yamaha MT-125, 2014 to 2026
  • Article AGPA101ST in the Sintered (ST) compound
  • High, steady grip at low and high temperatures, says Accossato
  • Wet-weather grip is a stated strength
  • For year-round commuting on a learner-sized bike
  • One box covers the single front caliper
  • Plate also available in OR, EV1 and EV2
  • Offered for track and competition; no German ABE on file

Construction and Material Quality

The AGPA101 plate in Accossato's sintered compound is designed for consistency. The company describes grip that stays high and stable across temperatures and holds up on a wet disc. For a small bike ridden daily through winter, that reliability matters more than anything else. Like all Accossato compounds, it is intended to wear slowly and resist fade.

Every Day, Every Season

A rider who uses an MT-125 as their only transport meets every kind of weather. Winter mornings bring frost, dark evenings bring wet roads and spray from buses, and spring showers arrive without warning. A sintered front pad keeps the lever feel familiar through all of it. The price of all-weather riding is faster wear, because grit and salt act as an abrasive, so check the pad thickness every few weeks in winter. Rinse the front caliper after salty rides, keep the disc clean, and replace the brake fluid on schedule. A bike that is looked after in this way stays dependable through the coldest months.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's catalogue gives the AGPA101 for the front of the Yamaha MT-125 from 2014 to 2026, the AGPA173 for the rear up to 2019 and the AGPP99 for the rear from 2020. One box is enough for the single front caliper. Clean the pistons before retracting them, measure the disc and check the fluid. Accossato's DK245 disc is also listed for this model. Pump the lever until firm and bed in gradually.

Road Approval

No German ABE or test certificate for this pad is available to us. The AGPA101ST is therefore sold for track and competition use.
