DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Monster 821 Dark was the understated version of Ducati's middleweight naked, finished in matt black and bought by riders who liked the shape without the show. Owners of a bike like that notice any single part that does not fit the look, and after a tip-over, a replacement lever in a different shape or colour stands out at once. For the Monster 821 Dark of 2014 to 2016, Accossato lists the AGS310, a black clutch lever in the original form, which keeps the left side as dark as the rest.

Construction and Material Quality
The appeal of the AGS310 on a Dark is that it simply disappears into the bike. It is made in the pattern of the original lever and comes in black, the colour Accossato lists for this model, so the controls match the rest of the Monster 821 Dark. Accossato developed these levers for value for money and states that its production method gives them more resistance after damage or impacts. No further technical information is published.
Black on Black
Keeping a dark bike looking right is mostly about small parts. Scratches on black surfaces show in bright sunlight, and a lever with a scraped tip or a bent blade breaks the line of the handlebar. When you replace the clutch lever, take the chance to look over the rest of the left side for similar marks: the mirror, the bar end, the footpeg and the gear lever. Clean the pivot and its bore thoroughly, apply a thin coat of grease and fit the AGS310 so that it moves freely on its pivot. Wipe off any grease that squeezes out, because it collects dust and shows up grey against black. Then check that the clutch switch reacts, work the lever a few times with the engine off and test the clutch in first gear at a standstill. If the old lever was bent, bin it; straightening a lever weakens it where it bent, however neat the result looks on a Monster 821 Dark.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGS310 for the Monster 821 Dark of 2014 to 2016, and it is the only replacement lever named for this version. The same black lever is in our catalogue for the standard Monster 821 and the Monster 821 Stripe, as well as the Hypermotard 939. For a tuning part in place of a spare, Accossato's CNC levers EDB012 and ESD082 are listed for the Monster 821 Dark.
Road Approval
No approval documents for the AGS310 exist in our files, meaning no German ABE and no test mark; the lever is therefore listed for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
