DescriptionThe whole story▼
A deep mud bog on an enduro route hides more than it shows: submerged branches, buried stones, and a rear wheel that has to fight for traction without the rider ever seeing what it's fighting against. The 200EXC's two-stroke punch makes it a popular choice for powering through exactly that kind of boggy section, where momentum matters more than finesse. For the 200EXC built between 2003 and 2015, Accossato's PDP01N guard takes whatever the mud is hiding before the disc does.
Key Features
- Rear brake disc guard for the KTM 200EXC, 2003 to 2015
- Accossato part PDP01N, described by Accossato as standard protection for the rear disc
- One guard in the pack, fitted over the rear brake disc area
- Meant to shield the disc from submerged branches, stones and buried debris
- No material, thickness or fixings specified by Accossato for this guard
- Also listed in our shop for several other KTM and Husqvarna enduro models
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's own description of the PDP01N doesn't go beyond standard protection for the rear disc, with no material, thickness or fixing method named, and this listing adds nothing further. One guard is included, built to sit over the 200EXC's rear disc and take a hidden impact in deep mud rather than let the disc meet whatever the wheel finds blind.
Riding Blind Through Deep Mud
A mud bog deep enough to hide the wheel means the rider has no way of knowing what's underneath until the bike has already hit it, and a buried branch or a half-submerged rock is as likely to catch the rear disc as any other part of the bike. On a route with several of these sections, that unpredictability is exactly why a guard matters more here than on drier, more visible ground, where at least the rider can see what is coming ahead of time.
Fitment and Compatibility
The 200EXC was built from 2003 to 2015, a shorter window than some of its EXC siblings, which makes confirming your exact year worthwhile before you order. Husqvarna's TE range and several other KTM two-stroke enduro models use this identical guard, a reminder that running gear like this stayed common across both brands long after KTM took on Husqvarna.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or comparable approval paperwork for the PDP01N, so Inter-Pace offers this guard for racing and competition use on the 200EXC, not for road use.
Scope of Delivery
One rear brake disc guard for the 200EXC, as described by Accossato; no further fixings or hardware are stated as included.
