DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a technical trail the rear brake of a Yamaha YZ250FX is the steering aid that keeps the bike slow and under control on steep drops. Accossato's AGPP106 rear pad in the Organic (OR) compound fits the YZ250FX from 2015 to 2021. It is the mild, rotor-friendly choice for riders who enjoy long trail days at a steady pace, who value a progressive pedal that is easy to meter, and who would like the rear disc to last.
Key Features
- Rear pads for the Yamaha YZ250FX, 2015 to 2021
- AGPP106 outline in the Organic (OR) compound, item AGPP106OR
- Long-lasting performance and low disc wear, per Accossato
- Progressive feel for slow, steep descents
- Two pads per box for the single rear caliper
- ST and STMX versions are also listed
- No German ABE on record; for private land and competition
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's organic compound aims for durable performance and spares the rear rotor. On a trail bike like the YZ250FX, where the rear brake is used very often but at moderate force, a material that is kind to the disc makes sense. The pads also resist fading, since they are designed to limit heat build-up. They come as a pair, the set for one caliper.
Controlling the Bike on Steep Drops
Rolling down a rocky bank on a YZ250FX, most riders keep light, steady pressure on the rear brake while releasing the front. The rear should slow the bike without locking, and small changes of foot pressure should translate into small changes of grip. An organic pad helps with that, because it bites progressively. For racing in wet or muddy conditions, the ST or STMX versions of the AGPP106 are better suited.
Care and Fitting
Check the rear disc for minimum thickness and any bend. Clean the caliper and pistons before retracting them, and check the fluid. After fitting, pump the pedal until it is firm, then make a few gentle stops to bed the pads in. Keep chain lubricant away from the disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPP106 at the rear of the Yamaha YZ250FX from 2015 to 2021. For the front, the AGPA110 covers the same years and the AGPA288 is listed for 2025. No rear pad is named for 2022 onwards in this data. The DK168 and DK268 discs are Accossato's rotor options for the YZ250FX.
Road Approval
No German ABE or test documentation is available for this pad. It is sold for use in competition and on private land, like the YZ250FX itself.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two organic rear pads for the rear caliper of the YZ250FX.
