DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato lists the rear pad AGPA76 for the Triumph Thruxton 1200 RS from 2020 to 2023, and AGPA76OR is its Organic version. The RS is the most focused Thruxton of its generation, yet plenty of owners use it for relaxed rides, short errands and the daily trip across town. For them, a soft and quiet rear compound that spares the disc makes more sense than a sharp one, and that is the role this pad is designed for.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPA76 for the Triumph Thruxton 1200 RS, 2020 to 2023
  • Organic compound with SKU AGPA76OR
  • Accossato: longer-lasting performance, reduced disc wear
  • Gentle, well-metered response at the pedal
  • Suits commuting and relaxed weekend rides
  • Quiet in slow traffic
  • Available on the same pad as ST
  • No approval certificate on file; competition use

Construction and Material Quality

The Organic mixture, as Accossato puts it, sustains its performance for longer and limits the wear it causes on the disc. That makes it the economical and comfortable choice for a rear brake that is used little by little rather than in big, hard stops. Accossato's general aims for its pads also apply: modest heat, resistance to fading and reliable stopping power.

An RS for Every Day

Owning a Thruxton 1200 RS does not mean every ride has to be fast. On a warm evening through the suburbs, at a filling station forecourt or in a car park, the rear brake is what keeps the bike composed at low speed. A progressive Organic pad lets you trail a little pressure while you steer, without the pedal snatching. It also stays pleasantly quiet, which you notice most when riding slowly between buildings. If you let a less experienced rider borrow the RS, a forgiving rear brake is one less thing to worry about.

Disc Life

Accossato offers the disc DK132 for this model as well. A pad that wears the rotor slowly keeps that replacement further away; check thickness and surface condition at each service.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA76 is listed by Accossato for the rear of the Thruxton 1200 RS from 2020 to 2023, alongside the disc DK132. One box supplies the two pads for the rear caliper. Replace both pads together, clean the pistons before retracting them and pump the pedal until you feel solid resistance.

Road Approval

AGPA76OR comes without a German ABE or any test mark that we could provide. We therefore list it for competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two Organic pads, a complete set for the rear caliper.
