DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Streetfighter V2 S is the higher-specification version of Ducati's 890 naked bike, and it tends to be ridden with some enthusiasm. That means regular visits to the tyre fitter, and every time the front wheel comes out, its discs are right there in plain view. Accossato's DK053 is a floating front disc listed for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 S 890 of 2025 and 2026. It measures 320 mm across and 4.5 mm through the ring, sits on a black carrier and, in Accossato's words, can replace the factory disc directly.
Key Features
- Floating front disc for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 S 890, 2025 and 2026
- Friction ring riveted to a black carrier
- Dimensions 320 mm outer, 72 mm inner, 4.5 mm thick
- Interchangeable with the original disc, according to Accossato
- Minimum thickness printed on the disc
- Two discs at the front of the V2 S, one per order
- Also on Accossato's list for this bike: the thicker DKS053
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
A black carrier bolts to the wheel, and the friction ring is attached to it by rivets that permit a small, deliberate amount of movement. That float lets the ring expand as it heats without passing stress into the carrier, and it helps the ring run true between the pads. Accossato refers to what it learned in the Superbike paddock and in Moto2 and Moto3, and to a careful study of the clearances between the two parts. It also maintains that keeping its discs light benefits the way a motorcycle steers. The ring of the DK053 is 4.5 mm thick and 320 mm in diameter, and the carrier's bore is 72 mm.
Tyre Day, Disc Day
A front tyre change is the natural moment to renew the discs. The wheel is out anyway, the fitter already has the tools on the bench, and the discs have to be protected or removed while the tyre is mounted and balanced. Fitting new ones at that point costs little extra time, and the wheel can be balanced once, with everything in place.
If you do the work yourself, keep a simple order. Take out the wheel, set it on blocks so the discs do not carry its weight, and undo the disc bolts gradually and crosswise. Clean the mounting faces on the hub until they are bare and flat, because a grain of grit trapped under a new disc is enough to make it run out of true. Fit the new discs, tighten the bolts in stages to Ducati's torque and check that the wheel spins freely once it is back between the fork legs. New discs deserve new pads, and the first rides should be gentle while the surfaces bed in. On a Streetfighter V2 S, note the date and the odometer reading somewhere you will find them later; the next disc change will be easier to plan.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Streetfighter V2 S 890 of 2025 and 2026, Accossato offers two front discs: this DK053, 4.5 mm thick, and the thicker DKS053. Measure one of your original discs on its friction band before deciding, and use the same type on both sides of the wheel. The price covers one disc, and the Streetfighter V2 S needs two for a complete change.
Road Approval
This disc is not covered by a documented German ABE or a type approval; its intended use is on the track and in competition.
Scope of Delivery
One DK053 floating front disc; order two to change both sides.
