DescriptionThe whole story▼

Stripped of lights and mirrors, a Triumph Street Triple 675 R makes a capable circuit bike, and a number of owners have gone that way. For such a machine Accossato lists the AGPA38 front pad in EV2 racing compound, covering the 675 R built from 2009 to 2017. It is aimed at riders who think in sessions and lap times, where the front brake is used at full effort several times per lap and must keep delivering until the chequered flag.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Triumph Street Triple 675 R from 2009 to 2017
  • AGPA38 plate with EV2 racing compound (AGPA38EV2)
  • Intended for circuit bikes and full-effort sessions
  • Accossato's label: a top racing compound
  • One box per caliper; order two for the twin front brakes
  • Sister versions: ST, EV1 and ZXC
  • For racing and competition only; no German ABE

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato keeps its claim for EV2 brief, calling it a top racing compound. Pressed on to the AGPA38 plate, it is the version for a 675 R whose brakes live at circuit temperatures. Accossato, based today in Villastellone near Turin, pursues durability, fade resistance and strong stopping power across its pad range, and EV2 is where that effort is directed at the track.

Heat Cycles and Consistency

A circuit session heats pads and discs sharply, and each cool-down afterwards is part of the cycle. Racing compounds are designed to cope with this repeatedly without the lever feel wandering. Riders can help by warming the brakes progressively on the out lap and cooling them on the in lap rather than parking with a hot disc clamped by the lever. Over a weekend, compare pad thickness left and right; a noticeable difference points to a sticking piston that needs cleaning.

Paddock Kit

Take spare pads, a bottle of sealed fluid, brake cleaner and a clean cloth to every event. Swapping pads on the 675 R means working on both front calipers, so allow time between sessions. After refitting, pump the lever until it is solid before leaving the pit lane.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato attaches the AGPA38 to the front calipers of the Triumph Street Triple 675 R over the years 2009 to 2017. With two front calipers, a full change needs two boxes. For the back wheel the catalogue lists the AGPP91 for 2013 to 2018, and the DK203 disc is named for this model as well.

Road Approval

There is no German ABE and no inspection report for these pads in our files, so they are offered for motorsport use.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPA38 front pads in EV2 racing compound; one box equips one caliper.
