DescriptionThe whole story▼
In town traffic, the most important thing a front brake does is sometimes not stopping but signalling. A light first touch on the lever switches on the brake light and tells the driver behind that you are about to slow down, a moment before you actually do. The EDF035 from Accossato is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the Street Triple 765 S of 2017 to 2019, mounted on the original master cylinder, with a reach you can adjust to your hand.
Key Features
- Front brake lever for the Street Triple 765 S, 2017 to 2019
- Sits on the original master cylinder
- Reach to the grip adjustable
- Standard length approximately 138 mm, available in every colour
- Long blade in four colours (blue, gold, green, orange); short in those four plus silver
- Anodised aluminium, CNC-machined, black hub
- Fixed lever, one piece, no hinge
- Supplied in its own box
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the EDF035 from aluminium on CNC machines and anodises it. The hub is black on every lever and carries the pivot and the adjuster, while the blade takes the colour you pick. The lever is rigid, with no folding joint, so it returns to exactly the same rest position after every use. That matters for signalling as much as for braking, because the brake light should come on in the very first part of the lever's travel.
Warning the Car Behind
Following drivers react to what they see, and a motorcycle slowing down on engine braking alone gives them very little to see. Many experienced commuters have a habit for this: as they roll off the throttle for a junction or a queue, they brush the front lever just enough to light the brake light, then brake properly a moment later. It costs nothing and gives the driver behind an extra second of warning. For this to work, the lever has to be easy to touch lightly. Set the EDF035 on your Street Triple 765 S so that your fingers can rest on the blade without pressing it, with the hand relaxed on the grip. Then check, with the ignition on, how far the lever moves before the brake light comes on. It should be very early in the travel, before the brake bites; if not, have the brake light switch checked by a workshop before you ride. A glance in the mirror before you slow down completes the picture.
Fitment and Compatibility
The EDF035 is one of two brake levers Accossato lists for the Street Triple 765 S from 2017 to 2019. The other is the EDF014, so compare your original lever with the product photos of both before choosing. The clutch lever for this bike in Accossato's range is the EST333P.
Road Approval
We sell the EDF035 for track use, as there is no German ABE documented for it.
