DescriptionThe whole story▼
In 2022 the twin of the Panigale V2 moved into Ducati's naked range, and the resulting Streetfighter V2 is often ridden where nakeds are most at home: on town roads and quick country lanes with junctions, crossings and traffic. Riders in those places often keep two fingers resting on the brake lever, ready to act. The Accossato EDF099 is a CNC-machined brake lever for the 2022 to 2024 Streetfighter V2, mounted on the original master cylinder, with a reach that can be set so resting fingers stay relaxed.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Streetfighter V2, model years 2022 to 2024
- Mounts on the original master cylinder
- Adjustable distance to the grip
- Short blade in blue, gold, green, orange and silver for two-finger riders
- Standard blade approximately 138 mm in all seven colours; long blade in four
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Fixed lever without a folding joint
- No German ABE documented; sold for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The lever is milled from solid aluminium and anodised. Its hub is black and houses the pivot and the reach adjuster; the blade is coloured and carries your fingers. Because the EDF099 is a fixed design, there is no hinge between the two, and the blade stays in exactly the same place relative to the hub each time you reach for it on the Streetfighter V2.
Covering the Brake in Town
Covering the brake means resting the index and middle finger on the lever while riding, so that braking begins the moment you decide to brake, without the time it takes to move the hand. It shortens the reaction, but only works if the resting fingers neither press the lever by accident nor have to stretch to stay on it. With the EDF099 set so that the blade sits under relaxed fingers, they can rest without pressure. The short blade suits this style well, because the other two fingers stay on the grip and keep the throttle steady. Riders who cover with the whole hand would choose the standard or long blade. Whatever you choose, make sure a light touch does not switch on the brake light while you ride, since that confuses the traffic behind you.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the lever under its Streetfighter V2 955 reference, and here it is assigned to the model years 2022 to 2024. It replaces the original lever on the stock master cylinder. Accossato does not list a clutch lever for the Streetfighter V2, so the left side of the bar stays as it is.
Road Approval
No German ABE documentation exists for this brake lever; in our range it is a track part.
