A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping.

Key Features

Finish: gold

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 04732-48

What It Is

There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Top eyes with an integrated preload adjuster are listed as one part. The eye takes the entire load path from wheel to chassis. End caps seal the unit and carry the adjusters; they are matched to the tube they close.

Original Öhlins Part

The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 04732-48. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. This position has no published dimension, so the part number is the only reliable identifier. End caps carry adjusters, seals and often the gas valve. Thread pitch on end caps is specific to the tube they close.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 04732-48

Category: End Caps

Finish: Gold

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/04732-48_7f48cacf-3199-4c12-9fda-536acde88be5.png?v=1788875392
