A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping.

Key Features

Dimension C 26 mm

Dimension A 14 mm

Öhlins part number 21120-03

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension B 110 mm

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 14 mm, 110 mm, 26 mm; nothing about that is approximate. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs. The end eye carries the whole load of the damper into the chassis. The spherical bearing in an end eye lets the damper follow the linkage without side load.

Original Öhlins Part

Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Identifying the Right Part

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 21120-03 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. dimension a 14 mm, dimension b 110 mm, dimension c 26 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. The end eye carries the whole load of the damper into the chassis. A worn eye bearing is often mistaken for worn damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21120-03

Category: End Eyes

Dimension A: 14 mm

Dimension B: 110 mm

Dimension C: 26 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21120-03_66270607-5c38-485d-a6dc-fc1de5ed8bfc.png?v=1788879494
