- Dimension B 22 mm
Where It Sits
At 36 mm, 22 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. An original Öhlins service part, listed under its own number in the Öhlins spare parts catalogue. This part comes from the same production as the components it goes into. Öhlins keeps tooling for older units, which is why parts remain available.
Why the Original
Öhlins manufactures service parts on the same lines as production parts — there is no second quality. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.
Getting the Number Right
03280-76 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins states dimension a 36 mm, dimension b 22 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Öhlins does not sell service parts as pattern equivalents — there is one specification. Individual parts let a workshop replace only what is worn.
Fitting and Setup Service
Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.
