DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Leatt Boot ADV HydraDri 7.5 in Stealth Black/Grey is the all-rounder for adventure riders who want full-height protection with a comfortable, roomy fit. Leatt states that the 7.5 fits well even on wide feet, and pairs that with a HydraDri EVO waterproof membrane rated at 20,000 mm and 20,000 g/m².
It is made for mixed routes: motorway kilometres to reach the trailhead, then forest tracks, wet meadows and the odd rock garden before the campsite.
Key Features
- HydraDri EVO membrane, waterproof and breathable at 20,000 mm / 20,000 g/m²
- Nubuck leather with an additional exterior waterproofing treatment
- Comfortable last that, according to Leatt, also suits wide feet
- SlideLock auto-locking one-way closure at the top of the shaft
- Forged aluminium buckles with over-lock system and stainless-steel base
- 3DF impact foam at the ankle, flex limiter and impact-reinforced shin plate
- ADV sole with PU foam midsole and steel shank
- CE certified to EN 13634:2017
Fit and comfort
Comfort is the main argument for the 7.5. Leatt designed it to give a good fit even for riders with wide feet. The material mix combines 22 % genuine leather with polyester, microfiber, polyurethane and rubber, and the shaped heel support holds the foot in place inside the boot. For most riders that means a full-height ADV boot that can be worn from breakfast to the evening stop.
Built for wet weather
Two layers deal with water on the 7.5. The Nubuck leather carries an additional waterproofing treatment on the outside, which helps the leather shed water, and behind it the HydraDri EVO membrane forms the actual waterproof barrier. With 20,000 g/m² breathability, perspiration can still leave the boot on warm afternoons.
Protection
This boot is CE tested and certified to EN 13634:2017. Its protective elements sit around the joints and the lower leg: 3DF impact foam in the ankle area, a flex limiter that controls the range of motion, an impact-reinforced shin plate and a shaped heel support.
Closure and bike grip
A SlideLock auto-locking, one-way sliding closure seals the top of the shaft, while forged aluminium buckles with over-lock and a stainless-steel base keep the rest of the boot tight. On the inside, a flat profile with a protective, grippy rubber and microfiber panel gives you a secure hold on the bike, and the shaped toe box makes it easy to get under the gear lever.
Sole
The ADV-pattern sole is designed to give feel on the pegs and traction when you are off the bike. A PU foam midsole damps shocks, and a steel shank adds stability for standing. Leatt ships the 7.5 in plastic-free packaging.
What you should know
Leatt lists the 7.5 at 4,550 g, so it is a proper full-height boot rather than a lightweight touring shoe. Its membrane protects only up to the top of the shaft, which is why your trousers should go over the boot in heavy rain. In Stealth Black/Grey the size run starts at EU 40.5 and ends at EU 48. Clean and re-treat the Nubuck from time to time so its exterior water-repellent finish keeps working.
Colour
Stealth Black/Grey keeps the 7.5 almost entirely black. The shin plate carries a dark grey Leatt logo, while copper-coloured buckles and thin copper lines on the upper provide the only warm accents. The look is subdued and goes well with black or dark grey adventure suits; dust is visible on matt black Nubuck, but a damp cloth removes it.
