DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Diavel is a motorcycle its owners like to keep clean, and wash day brings its own small risks. The bike stands on its side stand on a wet driveway, the rider moves round it with a bucket, a hose and a sponge, and to reach the far side of the wheels it is tempting to hold the Ducati upright or roll it a little. Soapy concrete is slippery underfoot, and a long, low cruiser does not forgive a lost footing. For the Diavel of 2011 to 2018, Accossato lists the AGD209, a black replacement brake lever in the original form.

- Accossato lists it for 2011 to 2018
- Black
- Right-hand lever, front brake
- Developed by Accossato with the price-to-quality ratio in view
- Accossato says its production process adds resistance after damage or a fall
- One lever in the pack
- No German ABE or test mark on file; for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The AGD209 is designed in the pattern of the lever Ducati fitted to the Diavel, which is what a replacement of the original type is for: the cockpit keeps its factory look, and nobody can tell afterwards that the bike went down. Accossato developed its levers of this kind to be good value, and it states that the method used to make them gives them more resistance after damage or impacts. The colour is black, as Accossato gives it for this model, and no other technical details are published.
Washing Without Dropping
Most wash-day falls can be avoided with a little planning. Wash the Diavel on a level surface with good grip rather than on smooth tiles or a sloping drive, and wear shoes with a proper sole instead of sandals. Leave the bike on its side stand and in gear, and resist the urge to hold it upright. Clean the far side of the rear wheel in sections instead, and if you need to roll the bike forward, do it with both hands on the bars and your feet firmly planted. Keep the jet of a pressure washer away from the switchgear and from the pivot of the brake lever, since it drives out the grease. A touch of fresh grease on the pivot after washing keeps the lever moving freely. If the bike has gone over, lift it, look at the right-hand side and fit the replacement. Then check with the Diavel stationary that the brake light comes on and that the pressure point is firm before the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGD209 is the one replacement brake lever that Accossato names for the Diavel 1200, and its listing covers 2011 to 2018. For the clutch there are two options, the silver AGS199 and the black AGS200, and the colour of your original lever decides which one to order. We also carry the AGD209 for the Monster 1200, the Multistrada 1200 and the Streetfighter 848. Accossato's CNC levers for the Diavel are EDF099 for the brake and ESH011 for the clutch, for riders who would rather fit a tuning part.
Road Approval
No test certificates or approval documents for the AGD209 are available to us, meaning neither a German ABE nor a test mark. The lever is therefore listed for racing and competition.
