DescriptionThe whole story▼
Ask passengers what makes a rider pleasant to travel with, and smooth braking comes near the top of the list. On a Multistrada 1260 S with two people and luggage aboard, every abrupt stop pushes the passenger forward into the rider, and a long day of that is tiring for both. Good braking starts with the rider's hand, but it also needs a lever that responds the same way every time. For the front reservoir of the Multistrada 1260 S, Accossato lists the TS003 from 2018 to 2020, a cap of anodised aluminium.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato offers the TS003 in silver, black, red, gold, blue, orange and green; the colour comes from anodising, applied after the aluminium cap has been machined on CNC equipment. The cap is made for the original front reservoir of the bikes on its list, so the brake of the Multistrada 1260 S keeps every factory component. Take a moment over the diaphragm or seal under the old cap; if it is damaged, deformed or no longer flexible, renew it before closing the reservoir.
Braking for Two
Smooth braking with a passenger is mostly technique: look further ahead, start braking earlier, squeeze the lever progressively and ease off just before the bike comes to a stop, so the front suspension does not spring back abruptly. Before a harder stop, a small, early touch of the brake warns the passenger, and it helps to agree beforehand on how to hold on. All of this depends on a lever whose feel does not change from one day to the next. Fluid that has absorbed moisture over the years can make the lever softer when the brakes are hot, which is exactly when a fully loaded Multistrada 1260 S needs them most. Have the fluid renewed at the interval in the owner's manual; the TS003 is no substitute. When fitting it, turn the bars until the reservoir is level, lay a cloth over the tank and fairing, and keep water ready to wash off any spilled fluid at once, since it damages paint. Open the reservoir briefly, check that the level is between the marks and tighten the cap gently. Pull the lever several times before the first ride, and on that ride try a few gentle stops with your passenger before the day's real miles begin.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list gives the TS003 for the front reservoir of the Multistrada 1260 S and the 1260 S Pikes Peak from 2018 to 2020, and for the S Touring of 2019 and 2020. It replaces the original cap. At Inter-Pace the same cap is listed for the Monster 1200 S, the Hypermotard 821 and the Aprilia RSV4 RR. For the clutch reservoir of the 1260 S, Accossato makes the FP007 cover; both come in black, silver, red, gold, blue and orange. Compare your version with the list before ordering.
Road Approval
As no ABE or test mark is documented for the TS003, we sell it for racing and competition use.
