DescriptionThe whole story▼
Europe first met the Hornet name on the CB600F of 1998, and the CB750 Hornet that revived it for 2023 carries the same spirit: a light, lively naked that owners enjoy pushing. Sooner or later many of them want to try it on a circuit, where braking is the skill that improves fastest and matters most. The Accossato EDF018 is a brake lever for the original master cylinder of the 2023 to 2026 CB750 Hornet, machined from aluminium, adjustable for reach and sold for exactly that kind of use.
Key Features
- Brake lever for the Honda CB750 Hornet, 2023 to 2026
- Mounts on the original master cylinder
- Adjustable reach to suit track gloves
- Short blade for two-finger braking; standard about 138 mm; long also made
- Blade anodised in seven colours, hub in black
- CNC-machined aluminium with a fixed, one-piece blade
- Sold for track use, no German ABE documented
Construction and Material Quality
The EDF018 is machined from aluminium and anodised, with a black hub, where the pivot and the reach adjuster sit, and a blade in the colour of your choice, joined rigidly without a folding joint. On a circuit, where the lever is squeezed hard several times on every lap, that rigidity keeps its feel unchanged from the first session of the day to the last. The anodised surface also copes well with the brake dust and grime that any track day leaves behind.
The Hornet's First Track Day
A first track day on a naked middleweight is mostly about learning to brake properly. On the road, you rarely use the full strength of the front brake; on track, every lap has several braking zones where you do. The lever is the interface for all of it. Before the day, fit the EDF018 and set the reach in the gloves you will wear on track, which are usually stiffer and thicker than road gloves. Many riders then choose the short blade and brake with two fingers, keeping the other two around the grip for control of the throttle and a firm hold on the bar. In the first sessions, pick a braking marker well before each corner, brake in a straight line, and move the marker closer only as your confidence grows. Keep your arms loose and grip the tank with your knees, so that the braking force goes through your legs rather than your wrists. The CB750 Hornet is light and forgiving enough to make that learning process enjoyable.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF018 for the CB750 Hornet from 2023 to 2026, mounted on the original master cylinder, and the clutch lever for the same years is the ESY688H. The Hornet with Honda's E-Clutch, listed for 2026, is covered by a separate listing for this brake lever.
Road Approval
Our reason for selling it as a track part: no German ABE is documented for the EDF018.
