DescriptionThe whole story▼
An M1000RR already carries carbon wheels as standard, which changes the arithmetic on a front mudguard. The unsprung mass at the front of this motorcycle is already about as low as a production machine gets, and every further gram removed from ahead of the fork is worth proportionally more.
Key Features
- Front mudguard, direct replacement on the standard fork brackets
- 245 Twill weave in clear coat, matt, raw or twill satin
- Autoclave-cured laminate, rigid across the span ahead of the wheel
- Original fasteners and brackets, no drilling and no spacers
- Fits the whole 2023-2026 model run
Diminishing Returns, Honestly Stated
On a standard motorcycle a carbon mudguard removes a few hundred grams from the least helpful place on the machine. On an M1000RR the wheel it hangs beside is already carbon, the fork is already a race unit, and the proportional gain from the guard is smaller than it would be on an ordinary bike.
It is still worth doing, and the reason is coherence rather than physics: a painted plastic guard beside a carbon wheel is the one part of this motorcycle that looks like it came from a cheaper one.
Fitment and Compatibility
BMW M1000RR, model years 2023 through 2026, on the original fork brackets. It shares the article number with the S1000RR of the same period, which uses the same front end.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part. Treat it as a replacement body panel and confirm the position for your own registration before road use.
Track Debris Is Worse Than Road Debris
A circuit surface throws rubber pickup and gravel-trap stones at a front guard with more energy than a road does, because the speeds are higher and the following distances shorter. Clear coat records every one of those as a bright mark.
Raw is the answer for a machine that sees sessions: cheapest, nothing to chip, and it looks correct beside a carbon wheel. Twill satin is the compromise for a road-registered M that is cleaned properly, and clear coat is for one that is photographed more than ridden.
