Construction and Material Quality
EV2 is Accossato's top racing compound. It is designed for the high temperatures and repeated loads that competition brings, when every braking zone is attacked at the limit. The maker's general claims of slow wear and limited heat build-up support consistency over a race. On a cold commute, a racing compound like this can feel less eager at the first stop than a street mix, which is why EV2 belongs on a bike that is used on track.
Qualifying on a Light Electric Bike
In qualifying, a single lap decides your grid position, and that lap depends on how late you can brake with confidence. On a light bike such as the FXE, the front brake sets the rhythm for each corner. Fit EV2 pads well before the event, bed them in during practice and use the qualifying run only once you know how the lever feels at temperature. Between sessions, inspect the pads and disc, check the fluid level and look for signs of uneven wear. A careful routine keeps the braking predictable from the first lap to the last.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPA92 in EV2 compound fits the front of the Zero FXE ZF7.2, 2022, according to Accossato. The rear pad for the FXE is AGPP91. Replace both front pads together, and pump the lever until the pressure is firm before leaving the pit. Keep a spare set in the toolbox for longer events.
