Some Multistrada 1260 Enduros begin their longest journeys in a shipping crate. Riders who want to cross another continent often send the bike ahead by sea or air and fly after it, and the weeks before shipping become one long preparation. Every fluid is checked and every worn part replaced, because the next well-equipped workshop may be very far away. For the Enduro's hydraulic clutch, Accossato lists the FP007 for 2019 and 2020: a cover for the clutch master cylinder reservoir, machined from aluminium and anodised.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato, based in Villastellone near Turin, machines the FP007 from aluminium and anodises it in gold, silver, black, blue, red or orange. Its shape matches the factory clutch master cylinder of each bike Accossato lists, so the Multistrada 1260 Enduro keeps its standard hydraulic clutch and simply receives a new reservoir lid. Examine the diaphragm or seal beneath the old cover before fitting. Ahead of a long trip, a new one is a sensible precaution if the old one shows any sign of age.
Before the Bike Goes Into a Crate
Preparation for shipping follows a clear order. Maintenance comes first: if the clutch or brake fluid will fall due during the trip, have both renewed before departure, following the intervals in the owner's manual, so the bike leaves with fresh fluid in both systems. Cosmetic parts such as the FP007 go on in the same session, not on the night before the crate is closed. The fitting follows the usual care: bars turned until the reservoir is level, the tank protected with a cloth, water ready for any splash because the fluid damages paint, and the reservoir opened only briefly. Snug the cover down gently, then pull the lever repeatedly with the engine switched off. Then ride the Multistrada 1260 Enduro for a week or two at home and look at the reservoir after each ride. When the bike is crated, the handlebar may have to be turned or loosened to fit the box, so make sure nothing can knock the reservoirs or press on the levers in transit. On arrival, before the first kilometre abroad, look at both reservoirs again, pull the clutch and brake levers, and check that everything is dry and firm.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list names the Multistrada 1260 Enduro Touring of 2019 and 2020 for the FP007, as the lid for the reservoir on its standard clutch master cylinder. As only the Touring is named, compare any other version with the application list before ordering. At Inter-Pace the same cover is also catalogued for the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the Multistrada 1260 S and the Aprilia Caponord 1200. For the front brake reservoir of the 1260 Enduro, Accossato offers the TS003.
