Buying the kit is usually cheaper than the individual parts and avoids missing one. Buying the kit is usually cheaper than the individual parts and avoids missing one. Öhlins revises kit contents as units change, so the number always reflects the current build.

Why the Original

Rebuilding to specification only works if the parts are to specification — that starts here. A damper that can be rebuilt is a damper that stays on the bike; that is the whole argument for original service parts. Öhlins numbers do not follow a logic you can guess — always read them from the documentation. Öhlins parts are unit-specific: a close dimension is not a substitute.

Identifying the Right Part

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 15999-24. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins supplies this as a matched set so the parts inside it work together. Ordering the kit avoids the second delivery most rebuilds otherwise need.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre.
