Function
21634-02 is the 43 mm, 39.5 mm, 551 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. A marked inner tube destroys seals repeatedly until it is replaced. Öhlins fork parts are specific to the fork model, not interchangeable across the range. Axle clamps are machined so the axle clamps without pinching the fork out of alignment.
Genuine Service Part
Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. Öhlins supports units that are decades old, which is why the spare parts list runs to thousands of numbers. If the unit is already apart, compare the published dimensions with the part in your hand. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.
Getting the Number Right
21634-02 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. dimension a 43 mm, dimension b 39.5 mm, dimension c 551 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Outer tubes hold the bushings and the seal head, so their bore finish matters as much as the inner tube's outside.
Fitting and Setup Service
Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.
