Anodising grows into the aluminium electrochemically. There is nothing on the surface to chip and no printed legend to fade after a decade of gloves.
An Exhaust You Notice
The R's two-into-one-into-two system exits under the tail and changes the whole silhouette. It is the detail that identifies one across a car park at a glance.
Raised, Not Lowered
Ducati increased ride height on the R while the rest of the market chased lower seats. It sharpened the geometry considerably and made the bike far more willing to turn.
Nothing Spliced
The unit uses the factory plug. On a short-run model that people keep, an unmodified loom is worth having.
