The Original Streetfighter
Triumph invented the category with the Speed Triple and spent twenty years refining it. The 1050 generation is the one most riders picture when the name comes up.
Ride by Wire
There is no cable pulling a butterfly here. The grip reports an angle and the electronics decide what the throttle bodies do with it.
Water
The assembly lives outdoors and is built for that. Nothing about the change makes the switchgear or the connector any more exposed than it was.
No Re-Gripping
On a bike with a long standard rotation the wrist runs out of travel and the hand has to shuffle. That shuffle is the thing this removes.
What Actually Wears Out
The standard tube runs in a moulded bore and the pair slowly develop play. It is a slow failure and most owners never identify it as one.
Superbikes
Clip-ons already place the wrist low, and a long standard sweep on top of that is what forces the hand to shuffle mid-corner.

The softest mode still softens and the sharpest still sharpens. What changes is the distance travelled to reach whichever response the mode provides.
The Honest Verdict
A well-made component solving one narrow problem properly: the distance a hand travels to reach full throttle. It costs real money, needs an appointment and makes slow riding marginally harder. On a bike ridden hard it is felt on every corner exit.
What Arrives
The throttle assembly and nothing else. Grips, bar ends, mirrors and switchgear are the rider's own and carry over. Anybody expecting a boxed kit of accessories will be disappointed, and anybody who has read the listing will not.
