The Physical Half
Reed housings on both cylinder heads with hoses to the airbox. An electrical eliminator leaves all of it in place.
Anti-Dive
The EVO's electronic forks stiffen under heavy braking to keep the front from collapsing. On a motorcycle this powerful it changes how late the brakes can be left.
Heat and Plastic
A housing bolted to a cylinder head sees the widest temperature swing on the bike. Reeds crack and exhaust gas eventually finds the airbox.
Billet on an O-Ring
A solid plug sealing in a machined groove. Nothing inside ages and nothing needs looking at again.

The LC8 carries the system twice, so both heads have to be closed.
