A Naked GSX-R 750
Suzuki detuned the supersport four to 106 horsepower and put it in a steel frame with wide bars. The GSR750 was cheap, quick and largely ignored.
Cheap Now
The model never sold in the numbers it deserved and values have stayed low. It is one of the better ways into a Suzuki four for very little money.
What the System Does
Injects fresh air into the exhaust ports so leftover fuel finishes burning. Emissions hardware, and the source of the noise on a shut throttle.
A Monitored Solenoid
Checked at every start by the ECU. Removing it without an eliminator produces a permanent warning that cannot be cleared.
Blank the Ports
A cover for the cylinder head completes the job. The electrical eliminator alone stops the complaint and not the airflow.
Six Model Years
The fitment runs from 2011 to 2016, after which the GSX-S750 replaced the model. The emissions hardware is consistent across the run.
Before a Remap
Injected oxygen makes the lambda sensor lie. Any fuelling work on a GSR750 should begin with the secondary air system removed.
Type Approval
Emissions equipment is part of the motorcycle's registration. Its removal makes this a closed-circuit modification.
Nothing Cut
Original connector, no splices. The solenoid refits whenever an inspection requires it.
Overlooked in Every Comparison
The GSR750 arrived when middleweight nakeds were fashionable and it lost every group test on equipment rather than on riding. A decade later the equipment nobody missed has stopped mattering, the engine has proved itself, and the bikes cost less than a set of wheels for something newer.
