The JP MJ 001 is the Memjet EVO power module for the Dorsoduro 1200, a preset fuel module that corrects the mixture without anything being written to the motorcycle's own electronics.

The Big Supermoto
A 1197 cc vee in a motard chassis was always going to be a handful, and Aprilia used the electronics to make it usable rather than to make it faster.
What a Power Module Actually Does
It sits between the motorcycle's loom and its injectors, reading what the standard controller decides and adjusting the injector opening time before the signal arrives. The original electronics keep their job and their diagnostics; the module only corrects the quantity of fuel that reaches the cylinder.
Injector Opening Time
Everything a fuel module does comes down to holding the injector open fractionally longer or shorter than the standard controller intended. There is no other mechanism and no magic in it; the precision comes from knowing by how much and when.
Between the Loom and the Injectors
The module is wired in series with the injector circuit, which is the least invasive place to intervene in a modern motorcycle. Everything upstream carries on unaware and everything downstream simply receives a slightly different instruction.
A Narrow Tool, Used Precisely
The module has exactly one lever: how long each injector stays open. Everything the product achieves comes from applying that lever at the right load and the right engine speed, which is knowledge rather than hardware.
The Mechanism, Once More
An injector is a valve that opens for a measured time. Fuel quantity is that time. A module intercepts the instruction and lengthens or shortens it, and everything else about the motorcycle carries on unchanged.
Reading the Listing Before Ordering
The year span in the title is part of the product. Manufacturers change injector connectors and harness routing mid-generation, and a module cut for one span will not simply plug into the other.
Closed Loop and Open Loop
Below a certain load the controller trims against the oxygen sensor; above it, it follows the stored map alone. The second region is larger than most riders expect and it is where a module has free rein.
