Carbon Winglets

A Dog Ring Gearbox

Where a Damper Earns Its Place
Out of a fast corner on a bumpy circuit with the front wheel light. It is the least glamorous component on a superbike and among the most important.
For a Track Bike
On a road the variable damper is genuinely useful, because road speeds and surfaces change constantly and no fixed setting suits all of them.
Keep the Original
The standard unit is expensive and sells readily second hand. Nothing about this conversion damages it or prevents it going back.
Refit and Forget
The standard damper goes back on its own mounts with the eliminator unplugged, and the electronic control behaves exactly as it did.
Three Hundred and Ten Horsepower Needs It
On a machine making this much power with no registration document and no speed limit to respect, the steering damper is not a comfort feature. It is what keeps the front end tracking when the supercharger comes on boost at the top of third gear, and any conversion has to respect that.
