A quick-action throttle on an S1000R leaves the right-hand controls without a home. The JP PDQ BM008 mounts them separately, machined from solid and anodised titanium.

A Naked Bike With Supersport Habits
The S1000R is bought by riders who wanted the superbike engine without the riding position, and a good number of them then reintroduce the superbike's sharper responses one component at a time. A quick-action throttle is usually among the first, because upright bars make the long standard travel feel slower than it is.
Where the Standard Switch Goes
It goes in a box. The original cluster is built into the throttle housing and cannot survive the change. The additional switch takes over the starter and kill functions on its own bar clamp, sited wherever the rider's thumb naturally falls rather than wherever the tube happens to finish.
Plugging Into an Unmodified Loom
The unit arrives pre-wired with the BMW connector fitted. Nothing is cut, no resistor is added and the immobiliser is untouched. For a road-registered motorcycle that has to pass inspection and remain insurable, keeping the factory harness intact is worth more than any weight saving.
One Finish, Chosen for Contrast
Titanium is the only anodising offered here. Against the S1000R's mostly black cockpit it reads as a deliberate component rather than a replacement part, and it is light enough to be visible without pulling the eye away from the instrument panel behind it.
What the Conversion Looks Like Finished
With the quick tube on the right and this switch clamped inboard of it, the cockpit ends up cleaner than standard rather than more cluttered. The bulky moulded housing that wrapped the throttle is gone, replaced by a compact block that can be tucked close to the master cylinder. Riders who have done the conversion tend to comment on the extra space around the grip before they mention the throttle action.
Not a Track-Only Part
Nothing here removes road equipment. The starter and the engine stop switch are the two controls the law and the motorcycle both insist on, and both are present and wired to the original plug. An S1000R with this fitted remains fully road legal and fully diagnosable.
