IN2702K carries the right-hand side of the ZX-6R's belly pan. It is a small stainless bracket and, at this price, the least consequential-looking part of a build that will not pass scrutineering without it.

Ask Us About the Left-Hand Side
Carbonin list this bracket explicitly as the right-hand one, which implies a left-hand counterpart. It does not appear on the parts list we were given, and we would rather say so than let a build stop halfway. If you are ordering the belly pan, ask us to check the left bracket with Carbonin before the order goes in — a pan mounted on one side is not a mounted pan, and it is not one an official will accept.
The Fastener That Works Loose
Of everything holding bodywork onto a race bike, the belly pan brackets are the ones that come undone. They sit at the bottom of the machine, they take vibration and heat, and they are the fasteners nobody looks at because they are not visible from standing height. Put them on the same checklist as tyre pressures — one glance per session, and the problem never happens.
Setting the Gap
Where the bracket sits decides how close the pan runs to the exhaust. Set it with the engine cold and the motorcycle on its wheels: on a paddock stand the suspension is extended, and the clearance closes once the bike takes its own weight. Too little and the laminate cooks all session; too much and the pan grounds on a kerb.
