DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built to the same exacting standards as the brake discs used in MotoGP, the Superbike World Championship and the Supersport World Championship, the Brembo SSP T-Drive 5.5 Brake Disc Kit (part number 208A98512) brings genuine race-derived stopping power to the Honda CBR 600 RR (2003–2012). Every component in this kit is engineered to deliver consistent, fade-resistant braking performance across all conditions — on track and on road alike.
Key Features
- T-Drive floating mounting system transfers braking force with exceptional efficiency, maintaining consistent bite and feel under repeated hard braking.
- Marginally lighter than Brembo's traditional High-Performance SSP discs while retaining identical levels of braking performance and durability.
- Materials and manufacturing processes mirror those used in Brembo's MotoGP, Superbike World Championship and Supersport World Championship programmes.
- Compatible with standard OEM callipers as well as Brembo M4 Monobloc callipers and other high-performance aftermarket callipers.
- 320 mm disc diameter offers a meaningful upgrade over the 310 mm OEM fitment found on certain CBR 600 RR variants — verify your existing disc size before ordering.
Race Technology on the Road
The T-Drive system is the defining feature of this kit. Rather than using conventional floating pins, T-Drive employs a proprietary drive mechanism that reduces unwanted disc movement, improves initial bite and keeps the friction ring running true even under the thermal stress of sustained track use. The result is a more linear, confidence-inspiring feel at the lever — exactly the kind of feedback that separates a race-proven disc from an ordinary aftermarket replacement.
The 5.5 mm disc thickness is a deliberate engineering choice. Thinner than full-endurance race discs, it reduces unsprung rotational mass at the front axle, sharpening the CBR 600 RR's already responsive steering without compromising structural integrity or service life under normal road and track-day conditions.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is developed specifically for the Honda CBR 600 RR across all model years from 2003 to 2012. Please note that some CBR 600 RR variants left the factory with 310 mm brake discs. Measure your current discs before fitting — this kit uses 320 mm discs and requires a compatible wheel hub and calliper bracket arrangement.
