DescriptionThe whole story▼
For many young motocross riders a Husqvarna FC 250 is the first full-size bike after years on an 85 or a 125. The step is big: more weight, more power and a different way of riding, with more time spent standing and more force going through the feet. Many of the early FC 250s from 2014 and 2015 now change hands second-hand, often for exactly this move. Accossato makes enlarged footpegs in Ergal for the FC 250 of those two years, in six colours.
Key Features
- Enlarged footpegs for the Husqvarna FC 250 of 2014 and 2015
- Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy
- Wider standing surface for a rider moving up to a bigger bike
- Intended for motocross, enduro and off-road riding
- Six colours: orange, blue, green, black, red, Titanium
- Left and right peg as a pair
- Accossato lists other sets for later FC 250 model years
- No ABE documented; for motocross and competition
Construction and Material Quality
These pegs are described by Accossato as enlarged footpegs made of Ergal, for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. A larger peg gives the boot a broader base, which is welcome for a rider who is still getting used to a bigger bike. The set consists of two pegs, one per side, and the colour is chosen as the variant: orange, blue, green, black, red or Titanium. That is a wider choice than Accossato offers for the later FC 250 sets.
Moving Up From a Smaller Bike
The first sessions on a 250 four-stroke feel different in every way. The engine pulls from lower down than a small two-stroke, so the rider can use a higher gear and ride more smoothly; the bike is heavier and takes more effort to throw around; and the extra speed means everything happens sooner. Coaches usually advise young riders to spend the first weeks on the basics: body position, braking points, cornering and standing on the pegs through rough sections.
The feet play a bigger part than on a small bike. A 250 four-stroke puts more force through the pegs on every landing and braking bump, and a rider used to a lighter machine may find the boots sliding about. Well-fitting boots come first. A broader footpeg then gives the sole more support, which helps a young rider build a stable standing position on the FC 250. Parents often notice the gain in confidence before it shows on the stopwatch.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato divides the FC 250 into three footpeg sets by model year, and this one, FR795, belongs to the 2014 and 2015 bikes. For an FC 250 from 2016 to 2022 Accossato lists the FR798, and for 2023 to 2026 the FR809. Check the year of your bike before ordering, compare the photos and colours of the three sets, and ask us if anything is unclear. The FR795 is also listed for the FC 350 and the TC 125.
Road Approval
No ABE or other approval is available for these pegs, so we supply them for motocross and competition use.
