DescriptionThe whole story▼
Narrow and easy to place, the Street Triple 675 is a natural choice for crossing a busy town. Where filtering past slow traffic is allowed, it happens at little more than walking pace, with the clutch slipping and the throttle barely open, and that is demanding work for the left hand. The EST333 is Accossato's CNC-machined aluminium clutch lever for the Street Triple 675, listed from 2007 to 2016. It fits at the original clutch mounting, and the distance to the grip can be adjusted.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Street Triple 675, 2007 to 2016
- Replaces the lever at the original clutch mounting
- Adjustable reach
- Long blade in blue, gold, green and orange for a lighter pull
- Short blade in five colours
- Standard blade approximately 138 mm in all seven colours
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised, black hub
- Fixed lever, no folding joint
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the EST333 from aluminium and anodises it. The black hub carries the pivot, with the reach adjuster beside it, and the coloured blade is a single fixed piece. There is no hinge and no second part to wear. Because anodised colour belongs to the surface layer of the metal, a lever that is pulled hundreds of times a week in town keeps its finish instead of showing bare patches where the fingers rest.
Filtering Through Slow Traffic
Filtering well is mostly speed control at very low speed, and on a motorcycle the clutch offers finer control there than the throttle alone. Riding in first or second with the clutch slipping slightly keeps the bike moving at a steady pace, ready to stop or accelerate as a gap opens or closes, and keeps the engine responsive if you need to move away promptly. Doing this for several minutes at a time asks a lot of the left hand. On the Street Triple 675, set the EST333 so that the friction zone sits where your fingers are curled rather than stretched, and consider the long blade, made in blue, gold, green or orange, for its lighter pull. The short blade, in silver, blue, gold, green or orange, has another merit: two fingers do the clutch work while the other two stay on the grip, which some riders find steadier at walking pace. Whatever the set-up, filter slowly, watch for opening doors and pedestrians, and follow the local rules on where filtering is permitted.
Fitment and Compatibility
Several entries in Accossato's list cover the Street Triple 675 for the EST333 from 2007 onwards; as the 765 replaced the 675 for 2017, this product covers the 675 up to 2016. The lever fits at the original clutch mounting. The EDF014 brake lever for this bike is listed for 2008 to 2016, so owners of a 2007 Street Triple 675 will find the clutch lever on the list but not that brake lever.
Road Approval
Road approval in Germany: no ABE is documented, so the EST333 is sold for the track.
