DescriptionThe whole story

Classic looks on the Triumph BONNEVILLE BOBBER come with modern speed and modern braking demands. On this machine the reference is the N007, 101.5 mm of friction face in the Nissin caliper. The N007 in EX Race trim is the version ZCOO builds for riders who value feel over first bite.

Key Features

  • Machined, not moulded: the N007 plate is cut to the Nissin outline rather than pressed to an approximate one
  • The ceramic layer is sintered to the plate rather than pressed against it, which is what keeps the N007 together at the top of its temperature range
  • The N007 is dimensionally stable under the clamping load a Nissin caliper generates
  • The N007 shape also serves 70 further machines in the ZCOO 2026 catalogue, so availability stays good
  • Low noise and low rotor scoring, which on a BONNEVILLE BOBBER means the discs outlast several sets of pads
  • Rotor-friendly by formulation: the BONNEVILLE BOBBER discs see a ceramic film rather than an abrasive

Construction and Material Quality

The N007 is built on the same platform as ZCOO's endurance-racing references. Because the N007 is sintered rather than resin-bonded, there is no binder to cook out at the top of the range. On the BONNEVILLE BOBBER that translates into a lever position which does not creep as the pad thins.

Performance and Feel

The defining property of the EX Race mixture in the N007 is a flat friction curve. The lever pressure needed for a given deceleration barely moves as heat builds through a session on the BONNEVILLE BOBBER. The Triumph BONNEVILLE BOBBER gets modern braking without paying for it in disc life.

Fitment and Compatibility

For the BONNEVILLE BOBBER of 2017 to 2020 the N007 is the shape ZCOO lists. The same N007 shape covers 70 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 101.5 mm length and 39.0 mm height. Front axle exclusively - there is no rear N007.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
