What the racing weave is offered for

The F1-85 medium exists for sustained full-load running, and that is a narrower description than it looks. Its rating is drawn on when a large demand is held for a long time, which is the pattern of consecutive laps rather than of a fast road. Away from that pattern the extra throughput goes unused, and no filter of any weave makes a standard 959 noticeably stronger. The dependable part of the story is duller: low intake resistance that stays low, and a component serviced instead of consumed. R127S F1-85-SBK is that component at its most expensive.

Care and cleaning

Air first, always from the clean side, pushing outward so the load leaves the weave the way it entered. Reach for water only when a film has set that the line will not move: hand-warm, a drop of mild detergent, rinsed through until the water comes off clear. Drying is patient and cold — a still corner of the garage, not a heat gun, not a radiator, never a flame. Fit it dry, with nothing applied to the cloth.
