Öhlins anodises caps for corrosion resistance where they are exposed. Thread pitch is specific to the tube — caps are not interchangeable between units. Spherical bearings in the eye let the damper move without binding as the linkage arcs.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Öhlins supports its suspension with individual service parts, which is why a fifteen-year-old damper can still be rebuilt to specification. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If you are between two sizes, send us the measurement and we will check it against the catalogue.

Getting the Number Right

Order under 01066-02. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. Check dimension a 54.9 mm, dimension b 16 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins anodises caps for corrosion resistance where they are exposed. A worn end eye bearing is a common source of rear-end vagueness that gets blamed on damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01066-02

Category: End Caps

Dimension A: 54.9 mm

Dimension B: 16 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01066-02_7ecb982b-e540-49ca-8e83-8cd3c289830a.png?v=1788870643
