Keeping your chain correctly tensioned is one of the most routine yet consequential jobs in motorcycle maintenance, and the LighTech TEAP001 makes it genuinely effortless. CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075 aluminium and designed specifically for the Aprilia RSV4, RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R (2009–2014), this chain tensioner delivers the kind of repeatable precision that saves time in the garage and inspires confidence on every ride.

Key Features

  • Machined from solid Ergal 7075 high-strength aluminium — exceptional rigidity at minimal weight
  • Full CNC machining from billet ensures exact tolerances and a perfect fit every time
  • External screw adjustment allows fast, accurate chain tensioning without guesswork
  • Laser-engraved scale on the adjuster body makes symmetrical wheel alignment straightforward and repeatable
  • Compatible with the optional fork mount accessory FTEAP001 for enhanced track-day rigidity
  • Available in black (TEAP001NER) or red (TEAP001ROS) to complement your RSV4's livery

Built for the Road and the Track

Ergal 7075 is the same alloy grade used throughout aerospace and motorsport tooling — significantly stronger than standard 6061 aluminium and far more resistant to the sustained loads a chain tensioner sees over thousands of kilometres. LighTech's billet CNC process removes every variable that casting or forging introduces, leaving a component whose dimensions are consistent from the first unit to the last.

The external screw adjustment is a practical upgrade over stock solutions. Rather than loosening axle hardware and tapping the wheel rearward, you simply turn the adjuster to move the wheel in controlled, measurable increments. The laser-engraved scale means both sides of the swingarm can be set to identical readings in under a minute — a genuine advantage whether you are making a quick roadside tweak or dialling in chain slack between track sessions.

Fitment and Compatibility

The TEAP001 is engineered exclusively for the following models:

  • Aprilia RSV4 — 2009 to 2014
  • Aprilia RSV4 Factory — 2009 to 2014
  • Aprilia RSV4 R — 2009 to 2014

Always verify your model year and variant before ordering. The optional fork mount bracket FTEAP001 is sold separately and further improves rigidity for dedicated track use.
