The Chassis That Made the Reputation
Whatever the F3's early electrical history, nobody has ever criticised how it steers. The counter-rotating crank and the short wheelbase combine into a motorcycle that changes direction with an immediacy its rivals never matched.
Nine Years of Refinement
MV spent much of the F3's production run addressing the electronic problems that dogged early bikes. Late examples are reliable as well as extraordinary, and those are the ones now being sought and prepared properly.
Why Both Parts Come Off Together
The right-hand switches are inside the throttle housing. That makes the factory replacement a substantial purchase for a single worn contact, and it is the reason an aftermarket unit covering both functions makes economic sense.
Room Behind a Fairing
Clip-ons below the yoke leave very little space between the bar and the bodywork. A compact machined body takes less of that room than the standard assembly with its clipped-on cover, which matters at full steering lock.
Smooth Is Fast
A 675 supersport is carried through corners rather than driven out of them, which places a premium on precise throttle application. The bore in which the tube runs is cut rather than cast in this unit, and that is what the wrist reads.
Sealed and Milled
One piece of Ergal 7075 with sealed switch elements inside. Track use means hot washing after every session, and there is no moulded joint anywhere for a jet to exploit.
Counter-Rotation in Production
MV was first to put a backwards-turning crankshaft into a production motorcycle. The effect on how quickly the F3 changes direction is the single thing every review mentioned, and it remains the reason people buy them second hand.
