DescriptionThe whole story

The Brembo-specific version of the remote span adjuster. The JP RMPLSB lets a rider change lever position without taking a hand off the handlebar.

Key Features

  • Remote lever span adjustment for Brembo master cylinders
  • Operated while riding, without releasing the bar
  • CNC-machined aluminium
  • Cable-operated, nothing hydraulic modified
  • Brembo-specific fitment

Brembo's Own Geometry

Brembo master cylinders are the default upgrade on nearly every fast motorcycle, and their adjuster mechanism differs from the generic radial arrangement. This part is cut for it specifically, which is why JetPrime list two remote adjusters rather than one universal item.

A Racing Idea That Reached the Road

Remote span adjustment came from racing, where a rider whose hand swells over a race distance needs the lever further out by the end than it was at the start. The same reasoning applies on a long ride in changing temperatures, which is how the idea reached road bikes.

What Gets Fitted

A knob within reach of the rider's hand, a cable to the master cylinder and the adjuster mechanism itself. The hydraulic system is not opened, so there is no bleeding and no fluid change involved in the installation.

Which One You Need

Brembo master cylinders take this part. Other radial cylinders take the JP RMPLS. If the cylinder is not marked, the shape of the existing span adjuster is the reliable way to tell them apart.

Brembo as the Default

A Brembo master cylinder is the most common single upgrade on a fast motorcycle, to the point where the aftermarket treats it as a baseline rather than an option. Their span adjuster mechanism differs from the generic radial arrangement, which is why JetPrime list two remote adjusters rather than one universal item.

Telling Them Apart

If the master cylinder is not marked, the shape of the existing adjuster is the reliable guide: Brembo's is a distinctive knurled wheel set into the lever pivot, while generic radial units use a simpler screw. Photographing it before ordering removes the only ambiguity in the purchase.

Cable, Not Hydraulics

The installation runs a cable from a bar-mounted knob to the adjuster on the master cylinder. Nothing in the brake circuit is opened, so there is no bleeding, no fluid change and no risk of introducing air. It is a mechanical addition to a hydraulic system rather than a modification of one.

A Setting That Should Not Be Fixed

Glove thickness changes what feels right. So does arm fatigue over a long day, and so does the difference between road riding and a track session. Treating lever span as something set once at the dealership rather than adjusted as conditions change is a habit worth breaking, and this is the part that makes breaking it practical.
