DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Daytona 660 with a shortened throttle needs somewhere to put the right-hand controls. The JP PDQ TR001 is that mounting, machined from solid and anodised titanium.
Key Features
- Triumph Daytona 660 (2024–2025)
- For quick-action throttle installations
- Titanium anodised Ergal 7075
- CNC-machined from solid
- Military-specification switch elements
- Pre-wired for the original connector
A Faired Bike Used on Circuits
The Daytona 660 is not a supersport machine and a good number of them will nevertheless see track days, because it is quick enough to be entertaining and forgiving enough to learn on. Riders using it that way tend to shorten the throttle first.
What the Change Does
Less wrist rotation between closed and fully open means the throttle reaches its stop earlier on a corner exit. On a 95 hp triple that is felt as sharper response rather than more speed, and it is the modification riders notice on the first lap.
The Electrical Side
The standard switch block is part of the throttle assembly and comes off with it. This unit restores the starter and kill controls on a separate bar clamp, wired to Triumph's own connector, so nothing has to be spliced and no warning appears on the display.
Where the Thumb Falls
Because the mounting is independent, its position is chosen rather than dictated. On a bike with clip-ons above the yoke the wrist sits at a particular angle, and being able to clock the switch to suit it is worth more than it sounds.
Sealed Elements
Military-specification contacts inside a body milled from one block. A bike used on the road during the week and at circuits on Sundays meets both rain and pressure washing, and the construction is aimed at both.
Reversible
Refitting the original throttle assembly returns the motorcycle to factory condition with no trace in the wiring. On a model this recent, buyers still expect the standard parts to be available.
