DescriptionThe whole story▼

The rear brake of a Honda NC750S sits low, close to the spray thrown up by the tyre, and in winter it sees more road dirt than any other part of the bike. For owners who ride through every season, Accossato offers its AGPP185 rear pad in the Sintered (ST) mixture. It fits the NC750S from 2014 to 2021, including the DCT model, and it is aimed at riders who load the bike with luggage, carry a passenger or simply refuse to park it when the forecast turns grey.

Key Features

  • Rear pads for the Honda NC750S, 2014 to 2021
  • Article AGPP185ST: the AGPP185 shape in the Sintered mixture
  • Accossato cites constant grip in hot and cold conditions
  • Keeps working well on a wet rear disc
  • A good choice for loaded touring and two-up rides
  • Organic (OR) offered as the alternative
  • Two pads per box for the single rear caliper
  • No ABE available; offered for racing use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato presents the Sintered mixture as the version that does not change its mind. According to the maker, grip stays high and stable whether the pad is cold or hot, and the bite holds up when the disc is wet. For a rear brake that sits in the spray, that is a practical quality. Accossato's usual claims also apply here: wear kept within bounds, controlled heating that limits fade, and good stopping force. The AGPP185 plate fits the rear caliper of the NC750S without modification.

When the Rear Pad Works Hardest

With two people and a pair of panniers on board, the NC750S shifts weight rearwards and the back brake becomes more useful than on a solo ride. Descending a wet mountain road, a light press on the pedal settles the chassis before the front brake takes over. A sintered rear pad gives that press the same result at the bottom of the hill as at the top, even after rain has soaked the rotor. That steadiness is what the ST version is for.

Before a long trip, measure what is left of the friction material, check the rear disc for scoring and make sure the fluid in the rear reservoir is clean. After fitting, pump the pedal until pressure is back and ride gently for a while so the new pads bed in properly.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPP185 is shown by Accossato for the rear of the Honda NC750S in entries covering 2014 to 2018 and 2014 to 2021, both including DCT. Accossato also lists AGPP88 for the rear across 2014 to 2021, so check which shape your caliper uses. At the front the NC750S takes the AGPA81. Riders who mostly commute in dry weather may prefer the Organic version of this rear pad.

Road Approval

There is no ABE and no German test certificate for the AGPP185ST in our records, so these pads are offered for competition and circuit use.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPP185 pads in the Sintered mixture, a full set for the rear caliper.
