DescriptionThe whole story▼

Long motorway stages after dark are their own discipline. Lorries throw up a curtain of spray, the visor is never quite clear, and every so often the traffic ahead compresses and the front brake has to work properly on a disc that has been running wet for an hour. Riders who cross countries on a BMW F750GS meet that often. Accossato's Sintered (ST) version of the AGPA92 pad is aimed at them, listed for the F750GS across the model years 2018 to 2024.

Key Features

  • Sintered (ST) front pads, article number AGPA92ST, BMW F750GS
  • Model years 2018 to 2024, front wheel
  • Accossato describes a constant, high level of grip whether the pads are cold or hot
  • Designed to keep working on a wet disc
  • Two pads in a box; one box for each caliper on the bike
  • A milder Organic (OR) version of the same outline exists for town machines
  • AGPP91 covers the rear of the F750GS, DK006 is the matching disc
  • No approval documents held; supplied for the circuit

Construction and Material Quality

What Accossato promises for the sintered filling is a grip level that refuses to move. Cold pads on a frosty forecourt and warm pads at the foot of a descent are supposed to answer the lever in the same way, and standing water on the friction ring is not supposed to interrupt that conversation. Fade is the other half of the claim, held back because the material keeps its own temperature within bounds. For a touring bike those two properties matter more than outright force, since a rider crossing a country wants the brake to feel identical at nightfall and at breakfast. The pads are boxed in pairs, one box per caliper.

Spray, Darkness and Distance

A wet motorway hides its hazards until late. Standing water lies in the ruts of the inside lane, a lorry's spray arrives as a wall rather than as drizzle, and headlights reflected off a soaked surface flatten the view of what lies ahead. The first brake application after such a stretch has to push a film of water out of the way before any real retardation appears, which is why experienced riders touch the lever gently now and then simply to keep the friction ring swept. Leave more space than feels necessary, drop a gear rather than reaching for the lever when traffic bunches, and stop before tiredness starts deciding your braking points for you. None of that asks anything unusual of an F750GS; it asks a good deal of the brake.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato's list runs the AGPA92 on the front wheel of the BMW F750GS from 2018 to 2024. Each box holds the pads for one caliper, so look at the front end of your own machine and count before ordering. The same catalogue covers the rear wheel with the AGPP91 pad over the identical span of years, and offers the DK006 as a replacement brake disc for this model. Riders whose F750GS never sees rain can have the same outline in a gentler material.

Road Approval

For the AGPA92ST there is neither a German ABE nor any other approval document in our hands. We sell it for track and competition riding, and describe it that way everywhere it appears.

Scope of Delivery

One box with two AGPA92 pads in the Sintered (ST) compound, filling a single front caliper.
